报告主题简介:
       Electromagnetic inverse scattering is the process of inferring the electrical and/or geometrical properties of the unknown objects in a region of interest from the measured field outside that region. It offers numerous civilian and military applications, i.e., radar imaging, remote sensing, geophysics exploration, medical imaging, antenna diagnostics, nondestructive testing, etc.
       In this talk, after a brief overview of electromagnetic inverse scattering, I will present the recent progress on Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) imaging and Through-the-Wall Radar imaging (TWRI) from the perspective of electromagnetic inverse scattering. GPR imaging and TWRI involves cross-disciplinary research in electromagnetic wave propagation, antenna and waveform design, radar system, image and signal processing. The talk will discuss MIMO GPR imaging, 3-D radar imaging through multilayered media, real-time processing for 2-D and 3-D TWRI, Compressive Sensing for radar imaging. It shows remarkable improvement over traditional imaging approaches in the above fields. Performance improvement and conditions of utilization of these emerging techniques for data analysis, acquisition, and processing are delineated and supported by full wave electromagnetic simulated data and experimentations.

报告人简介:
       张文吉,2004年毕业于华中科技大学电子信息工程系获学士学位,2009年于中国科学院电子学研究所获电磁场与微波技术专业博士学位。2009-2012年美国Villanova大学博士后,2012-2014年美国Duke大学Research Scientist,目前为MVG集团(Microwave Vision Group)资深系统工程师。主要研究领域为5G毫米波系统,电磁散射与逆散射、超宽带雷达成像、稀疏信号处理、射频识别技术与天线。在相关领域做出大量原创性工作,发表期刊和会议论文80篇,授权专利两项,论文引用800余次。长期担任IEEE Trans. Geoscience and Remote Sensing, IEEE Trans. Signal Processing, IEEE Trans. Antennas and Propagation, 英国皇家学会会刊等20多个SCI期刊的审稿人及多个国际电波传播、微波遥感会议的分会主席。
